St. Francis Girls Going to Nike XC Nationals
The St. Francis Girls took second place at the Division I State Cross Country meet (and was scored 2nd place in California Power Merge).
The team’s top finisher was Junior Lauren Larocco, who came in 16th with a 18:10.
St. Francis has been invited to race at Nike Cross Nationals in Portland, Oregon, and we’ve heard that they’ve accepted the invitation.
There were several other local teams and individuals at the State Meet, too. How did they do?
I don’t have enough time to track down all the individual results, but some notable results include:
Maggie Bell, a Granite Bay freshman, won the Division 2 race in 17:29.
Fiona O’Keefe, a Davis freshman, was 6th in Division 1 with 17:49.
Trent Brendel, a Granite Bay senior, finished 10th in Division 2 with 15:30.
Other local team finishes were:
Amador Valley (Division 1): Girls 18th
Davis Senior High School (Division 1): Girls 5th and Boys 15th.
Del Campo (Division 2): Boys 10th
Del Oro (Division 3): Girls 12th
Dixon (Division 4): Boys 18th, Girls 21st
El Dorado (Division 3): Boys 13th
Granite Bay (Division 2): Girls 14th
Jesuit (Division 2): Boys 18th
Placer (Division 3): Boys 11th
Vacaville Christian (Division 5): Girls 21st.
Well done, all!
Please let me know (in the comments) if I’ve missed anyone. There were a lot of results to dig through and I’m not familiar with all the schools.
